The Village’s Hometown Pride Awards honor properties in Palatine that have beautiful landscaping and exceptional curb appeal. Residents may nominate any property, neighbor, subdivision entrance, homeowners association, multi-family residence, business or their own property. Nominations are due by Friday, July 25, 2025. Judging will take place on Monday, July 28, 2025. All nominees will be notified shortly thereafter.

• “Doors of Palatine” (decorative front entrances of residential buildings that would include plantings, statuaries, pots and potted plants, etc.)

Nomination Requirements

• Judges are looking for "curb appeal" and will consider only the front of the property visible from the street. Judging criteria includes:  overall appearance, design, maintenance, color and diversity.
• Fill out a nomination form and submit it online using the link below, or print and mail/drop off your nomination form to the Public Works Department, c/o Hometown Pride Awards, 148 W. Illinois Avenue, Palatine, Illinois 60067.
• Include one 4” X 6” photograph taken within the last 30 days with your nomination form. Please note that photograph prints will not be returned. Online submission of the nomination form with an attached digital photograph will be accepted, or email the form and photograph to bhiggins@palatine.il.us.
• Submit nomination form and photograph by Friday, July 25, 2025.
