In 2007, the Village Council approved the establishment of a Targeted Development Zone for the portion of Northwest Highway stretching from Wilke Road to N Hicks Road. In 2008, the Village Council expanded the program to include all of the properties within Palatine’s Northwest Highway corridor.
The specifics of the program are as follows:
The Targeted Development Zone (TDZ) was created to help facilitate reinvestment/redevelopment for commercial uses within the Northwest Highway corridor.
Eligible properties within the TDZ are entitled to a waiver of 50% of all associated Village review, permit and inspection fees for any project with an estimated value of $250,000 or greater.
