Palatine Board of Health Community Blood Drive

Thursday, October 17, Noon to 6:00 p.m.

The Palatine Board of Health is hosting a Community Blood Drive on Thursday, October 17, 2019 from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Palatine Village Hall, 200 E. Wood Street, in Community Room B.

The blood drive will be conducted by Vitalant, formerly known as Lifesource. Each year, nearly 5 million Americans need blood transfusions. Blood helps trauma and burn patients, premature infants, heart surgery patients, organ transplant recipients and those fighting cancer, among others.

Donating blood is one of the easiest ways to give back to your community. If you've never donated blood before, we encourage you to try! The donation itself takes approximately 10-15 minutes, and the entire process from registration to post-donation refreshments takes about one hour.

For more information about the donation process, or to schedule an appointment to give blood, please contact Vitalant at 877-258-4825 or visit
.  Walk-ins are welcome!
