Palatine Children's Chorus Will "Dream On A Cloud" at Immanuel Lutheran on May 4

Palatine Children's Chorus invites the community to attend their spring concert, To Dream on a Cloud, on Saturday, May 4 at 2:00pm. This year’s performance will be held at Immanuel Lutheran Church , 200 N. Plum Grove Road, Palatine. Highlighted performance selections will include “The Storm is Passing Over,” “The Little Birch Tree,” “Blue Skies,” and “I Am Going Home on a Cloud.”

“All five of our choirs with ages ranging from 6-18 will be performing great springtime music,” said Artistic Director Stevee Bellas. “We hope audiences will be delighted with thoughts of springtime, blue skies with white puffy clouds, and all that your mind can dream.”

The goal of Palatine Children’s Chorus is to nurture and inspire student achievement through quality music education and the pursuit of artistic excellence in choral music performance. The chorus leadership envisions a future where excellence in choral singing is valued and supported for all children in the community – bridging cultures, ethnicities, and economic backgrounds.

This year’s spring concert will recognize the chorus’ class of 2019, seniors Sydney Shiffman and Zoe Vukelich. After a combined 10 years of singing with the chorus, Shiffman and Vukelich will be graduating high school and preparing to attend out-of-state universities.

Concert tickets are $10 in advance for adults and seniors, and $8 for students and children. Ticket prices increase by $2 for purchases at the door up to one hour before the performance. Children under the age of 5 will be admitted at no charge. To purchase tickets online, visit cuttinghall.org.

For more information about Palatine Children’s Chorus, contact Cultural Arts Coordinator Ashley Schiavone at 847.496.6237 or visit the chorus website at pccsings.org.

Show your appreciation for the Police Department by displaying yard signs and putting blue light bulbs in your outdoor light fixtures. Businesses with outdoor signs are encouraged to display a message of appreciation and encouragement for officers.

Yard signs ($10 each) and blue LED light bulbs ($5 each) may be purchased from the Palatine PD Boosters from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, May 4-5 at the following Palatine locations: Jewel-Osco (45 S. Plum Grove Rd.), Jewel-Osco (423 E. Dundee Rd.), and Eurofresh Market (130 W. This event is an awareness and support campaign, not a fundraiser. All proceeds will go to the Palatine PD Boosters, a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization, to cover the costs of the effort.

The primary goal of the Palatine PD Boosters is to assist and support the Palatine Police Department by improving our community's relationship with the Police through education and communication, as well as engaging in a variety of volunteer activities which will aid and benefit the dedicated men and women who serve the community.
