COVID-19 Vaccine Information & Websites

Cook County is now in Phase 1C of the COVID-19 Vaccination Administration Plan, which includes all remaining essential workers including clergy, restaurant staff, utilities, legal, retail, transportation and logistics, manufacturing, residential and shelter facilities, financial services, and defense-related activities.

Appointments for individuals in Phase 1A, 1B, 1B+ and 1C can be scheduled at vaccine.cookcountyil.gov. Individuals without internet access or who need assistance scheduling can call (833) 308-1988 (from 7a.m. to 7p.m., Monday - Friday). Cook County Health will only offer appointment slots based on the amount of vaccine on hand and will add appointments as new vaccine shipments arrive.

The State of Illinois also has a portal on coronavirus.illinois.gov to provide residents the ability to search for local COVID-19 vaccine locations, information on how to make
an appointment, updates on the State's plan and eligibility, and answers to frequently asked questions about the COVID-19 vaccine.

All Illinois residents age 16+ will be eligible April 12.

Drop It and Drive

April is Distracted Driving Awareness Month across the nation and the Palatine Police Department is urging drivers to drop their phones and focus on the road with a not-so-subtle-reminder: "Phone in One Hand. Ticket in the Other".

According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, a total of 26,004 people died in U.S. crashes involving a distracted driver between 2012 and 2019.

In support of this effort, the Palatine Police Department is partnering with the Illinois Department of Transportation, the Illinois State Police and more than 200 local law enforcement agencies around Illinois the entire month April.
